Tucson Gem and Mineral Show

This morning I gave $5 to each child and we headed out to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show to find treasures.  From what I understand, it is the largest gem and mineral show in the world, with venues all over the city and it is here for two weeks every February.  There were so many beads, stones, and gems, for such good prices, it made me say to myself, “I could make my own jewelry for so cheap!!!…but I wont because I’m lazy.”  This very cute owl caught my eye so I bought him!  Once I got him home I realized why he caught my eye.  He looks so much like the little clockwork owl from the movie, Clash of the Titans!

He is so cute. I’m jealous. Great buy.

  2. We used to do things like that with my mom when my brother and sister and I were kids. I loved gem and mineral (rock) shops…and actually bought our wedding rings in one. The owl is great!
